Healthcare Innovation Expo The second Healthcare Innovation EXPO will now take place on the 9th and 10th March next year.

Originally planned for October 2010, the EXPO has been re-scheduled at the request of Department of Health Ministers so that the new plans for the NHS, laid out in the white paper, Equity and Excellence: liberating the NHS' earlier this week, will have been through consultation, and healthcare professionals will be working towards the agreed reforms.

The content of the EXPO will reflect the government's long-term vision for the NHS, focusing on innovative solutions that will support clinicians and healthcare professionals as they strive to deliver more joined up services and improve the quality and outcomes of their healthcare services.

The EXPO will bring together the best in healthcare innovation from the private, public, voluntary, local government, scientific and academic communities from across the globe, it will form an important part of delivering the High Quality Care for All agenda that puts quality at the heart of the NHS and creates an environment where innovation can flourish. Last year's event attracted more than 5000 visitors including frontline NHS staff and managers and social care experts as well as senior executives from global organisations leading the way with new healthcare technology. It is expected that the two day EXPO next year, will welcome more than 10,000 delegates.

The EXPO will allow companies who already provide services to the NHS and social care, as well as those who would like to, the opportunity to interact directly with key buyers and decision makers.  The event will showcase new innovations as well as demonstrating how successful joint working initiatives already underway between private and public sector organisations, can be replicated across the NHS and social care.

There are more than forty leading speakers already committed to presenting at the EXPO, with more expected to come on board in the coming months. Confirmed exhibitors include some of the foremost healthcare service providers worldwide, leading technology companies and organisations delivering state-of-the-art medical equipment that is not only saving lives, but also producing significant cost-savings.
