UK March 31^st 2010 - ELGA, the global labwater brand of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, the world's leading water technology and service company, has introduced a NEW Type II EDI water purification system. The PURELAB Pulse has been developed to produce consistently high purity water at economical running costs for a wide range of applications including cell culture and media preparation.

The PURELAB Pulse design is unique, the only type II water purification system that incorporate recirculation of purified water up to the dispense point - guaranteeing optimum purity. ELGA's Pulse technology combined with extended intervals between sanitization reduces maintenance time and makes the PURELAB Pulse one of the most productive and environmentally friendly systems in its class.

ELGA's Pulse technology is complemented by Pretreatment, Reverse Osmosis and a 254 nm UV lamp to produce Type II pure water that meets and exceeds ASTM^â D1193, ISO^â 3696 plus European, USA and Japanese Pharmacopeia standards. In addition the PURELAB Pulse can be fitted with a point-of-use Biofilter to deliver bacteria levels of <1CFU/10ml.

The PURELAB Pulse has been designed to fit into any laboratory environment and is easy operate and maintain. It can be wall or bench mounted for convenient access and can be fitted with ELGA's unique wrap-around reservoir to save valuable space.
