Safety should have first priority for everyone working in a laboratory, especially when working with open beakers, vessels or high temperatures utmost caution is required. Working with the IKA^® RCT basic contributes to minimize these potential risks. 

Not only does the RCT look smart it is also easy to operate. The most important issue when our engineers developed this magnetic stirrer was safety. In our 100 year history IKA has 60 year experience developing magnetic stirrers. 

 Integrated safety features include:- 

• Precise temperature control: the set temperature is reached quickly and held stable 
• Adjustable safety circuit conforms to all important standards. 
• The flashpoint of the medium will not be overshot. This prevents accidental changes of the safety temperature. 
• Self-monitoring of all safety relevant components guarantees safety in the event of a malfunction. 

The digital display enables the comparison of set and actual temperatures as well as the stirring speed. Monitoring of set values is also possible from a distance due to the good readability of the display. 

Two independent control circuits ensure that the set temperature is held constantly in the event of a malfunction of one control circuit. 

Every IKA^® Magnetic Stirrer adheres to the requirements set forth by the norms: DIN IEC EN 61010-1, DIN IEC EN 61010-2-010, DIN EN IEC 61010-2-051 tested and certified by UL International as well as DIN IEC EN 61326-1. As all IKA^® products the RCT conforms to the CE certification.  Therefore the IKA^® RCT basic fulfills in all areas required by safety regulations for laboratory equipment.
