Synergy 2 Alpha Is A Proven Alternative For Reading AlphaScreen®/AlphaLISA® AssaysFurther expanding the SynergyTM Microplate Reader family, BioTek's SynergyTM 2 Alpha Microplate Reader provides high-performance Alpha detection at a reasonable price for low- to medium-throughput laboratories. Synergy 2 Alpha comes pre-configured with the Alpha filter set, mirrors, software and optical modules to read all Alpha assays, and is easily upgradable with additional detection modes as the laboratory's needs change.

"Extensive user feedback demonstrates that Synergy 2 Alpha's sensitivity is on par with expensive laser-based systems," notes Xavier Amouretti, Product Manager at BioTek. "Its lower price point makes it easier for life science research laboratories to adopt AlphaScreen®, AlphaLISA® and SureFire® assay technologies."

In addition to Alpha assay specificity, the Synergy 2 Alpha single-mode microplate reader is integrated with Gen5TM Data Analysis Software for advanced reader control, data analysis, graphing and reporting features. An informational Alpha assay CD is also included, and contains Alpha-based application notes, Gen5 sample data files and pre-programmed Gen5 sample protocols. Synergy 2 Alpha is modular, and can be upgraded to any Synergy 2 multi-mode reader configuration, including absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, TRF or FP detection modes and injection.

BioTek Instruments, Inc., headquartered in Winooski, VT, USA, is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of microplate instrumentation and software. BioTek instrumentation is used to aid in the advancement of life science research, facilitate the drug discovery process and to enable cost-effective quantification of disease relevant molecules in the clinic.
