New biological decontamination technology by Tri-Air Developments is the subject of a webinar on July 8th 2010 at 16:00 hours BST (London): join the on-line event to find out how enclosed spaces can be protected in minutes from airborne and surface pathogenic viruses and bacteria, to deal with CBRN biological terrorism effectively. Counter-terrorism measures for biological threats have been limited in their scope and effectiveness to date, Tri-Air explains. The air filtration systems that are currently used are inherently slow, taking several hours or days to clean a room. The process is usually unable to deal with surface contaminants - and spaces treated might never be considered to be completely safe.

Now Tri-Air has combined three separate air purification technologies to overcome the inherent shortcomings of each individual process and eliminate the need for filtration. The result is a system that combines non-thermal plasma, ultraviolet catalysis, and Hydroxyl Radical generation, to offer up to 99.9999 per cent protection in minutes for airborne and surface pathogenic viruses and bacteria.

The overall effect is to simulate the natural purification properties of fresh air, Tri-Air Developments CEO Gideon Davenport explains: it creates the cleansing conditions that occur outdoors. This environment is lethal to viruses and bacteria, including Flu and MRSA, and continually decontaminates by a process of advanced oxidation.
