Research Toward a Cure is part of our ongoing effort to develop research tools that enhance scientists' technical capabilities and advance cancer research. Currently, thousands of LI-COR systems are being used in laboratories around the globe for advanced research and drug development. We feature a special website, www.licor.com/cancer that highlights examples of applications and techniques where infrared fluorescence detection contributes to the understanding of cancer and the search for cures. Odyssey® Infrared Imaging Systems include the Odyssey Infrared Imaging System, which continues to set the standard for quantitative Western blot analysis while providing versatility for a wide variety of membrane, gel, microplate, and in vivo applications. The Odyssey Sa Imager is designed to handle Western blots, and microplate assays, such as In-Cell Western™ Assays with optional walk-away automation. The new Odyssey Fc Imager is the only system that offers superior infrared quantitative fluorescent Western blot imaging and chemiluminescence on the same platform. Pearl® Impulse Small Animal Imaging System is optimized for tracking biological processes and disease progression in live animals. The Pearl Impulse is specifically designed for analysis of structural features and disease biomarkers such as receptors or transporters. LI-COR IRDye® Infrared Dye products are at the forefront of innovation in fluorescence detection. They serve as an enabling technology for a variety of in vivo, membrane, and gel-based applications that are important for cancer research. IRDye Infrared Dyes are optimized for use with our suite of infrared imaging instrument and analysis software systems, which are widely used in cancer research. LI-COR Translational Research seeks to facilitate the use of IRDye® 800CW imaging agents in clinical studies for detection of disease and its progression, and for monitoring of treatment and drug efficacy. IRDye 800CW has been conjugated to a variety of targeting agents by leading molecular imaging laboratories developing translatable agents. Unlike indocyanine green, which cannot be attached to biomolecules in its clinically approved form, IRDye 800CW reactive dyes are easily conjugated.
